The diet and treatment method we use is not advisable for some people such as those suffering with epilepsy, glaucoma and uncontrolled or severe hypertension. It is also not suitable for people who only have a small amount of weight to lose and you will need to have a BMI of at least 27 to be considered eligible for treatment. Treatments will vary based on a number of factors, including age and BMI at the time of seeing the doctor, however our doctors can still offer you our usual full support and guidance.
Our treatment includes diet information and sensible non-faddy dietary advice combined with appetite control medication such as phentermine and fat blocking medication such as Orlistat. The doctor may also suggest other courses of treatment to help you management your weight.
After your first visit you will be asked to return for a follow up appointment to measure your progress.
The treatments we offer will help you manage your weight more successfully, when combined with a low calorie diet. We also recommend that you exercise for at least 20 minutes a day in order to achieve the best results.
